Ups And Downs

Guess I just needed a reminder that life has it's ups and downs.

Saturday was really fun. I got to run around and learn a lot of things... Also I got a lot of photos... 1Gb worth actually... hehe. That was a real up!! Even though I came back tired, it was worth it. It wasn't perfect but still... approaching....

Negatively speaking... my dad refused to get me that dSLR... to quote " Maybe next year, after your finals"... Bummer.... hehe
Still... not that bad I guess... don't really need it to live and breathe.... Was quite depressed for most of the afternoon though. Cheered up later in the evening.

Bon Voyage

Today we say goodbye to one of our friends from school. His loss diminishes us all greatly. Life will go on but it will seem slightly different without his presence. No... he's not dead!! Just... gone... far far away to the strange land known as Kuala Lumpur. Off on his own intrepid adventure.

Goodbye Ivan Lee and Good Luck.

It makes me wonder. What will happen when I go off into the great unknown. A bit scary....

It'll be a subject for next time. Too sleepy now.

Ignorance Is Bliss

In college today, after listening to ev'ryone, I just realised I have even more to do than I thought. Luckily at the end of July we get a break. Class cancellations and such. A week that's quite relaxed then... altho I don't know if I can with finals just around the corner... second week of August... that's only four weeks away... Arrrggghhh!!! {screams head off} Hehe...

For news closer to the present, it's lucky that I can get a ride to SXI today. Otherwise, I need to trek down the hill and take a bus to Komtar and then walk to SXI... whew... shudder at the thought. Thanks Pat!!

Apparently it's white collared tee day at INTI, I saw at least 6 people wearing white collared tees in college today, yours truly included. Freaky coincidence isn't it... Happens quite often actually... people wearing the same colours that you or your friend are wearing. Maybe I'll start a colour diary... or not. Maybe it's mass hypnotism or everyone shares the same wavelength. Whatever it is... it exists. Yeah, I know, paranoia setting in. I'll let it be...

That's all folks.

Pressure

Man... these college people really know how to keep up the pressure... Assignment pressure last week and test pressure this week and now... on top of that... more tests next week. Well, at least the easier tests are over... now I'll really have to slog. Have to get ready for Computing and Biotech tests next week. There goes any hope I had to relax a little. Added to that... I now have extra 'projects' to take care of. I've to create an update for the SOSAM website and be the photographer for next week's Intel talk.... Not looking forward to next week that's for sure. At least there's the field trip on Saturday. That shows some promise.

On the bright side, I think I've almost convinced my dad to get me a dSLR. The E500 looks really cool despite being last year's model. For now I can but dream... and keep up the pressure. See... I don't only get pressure... I can give it too. Hehe.

Busy Busy Busy

Whew, loooonnngggg day yesterday... too tired to even go online...

Five hours of class non-stop, lunch and then some drama then class again... When I got home I was almost ready to drop. Wasn't a very good day... still some things got done.

I'm in the process of convincing my dad to get me a dSLR... so have to go survey prices... maybe today or tomorrow. We'll see how that turns out.

I'm going to go... T-2 hours and 30 minutes to Molecular and Cell Biology 1 (MCB121) Test 2. Wish me luck!!

Early Bird

I suppose I have to get into the habit of airing my thoughts otherwise this blog will go stagnant again. It's about 5.30 in the morning and not that I want to be posting at this hour, but my grandma woke me up... barging into my room. 'Thanks Grandma!'
I've got a Chemistry quiz today... a prelude to the test that'll be on later this week. As usual... too lazy to study much so here I am... writing random thoughts out on the internet.
Nothing much to say anymore so I'm just going to leave it at this for now. Maybe when I've woken up in the afternoon I'll have something more... Gotta get this blog in shape right... Don't like the way it's looking now... so sparse and empty.

Hiatus

Hey... it's been a while hasn't it... didn't have time to update while working. Hopefully, now that I'm back in school, I'll have more time. I actually forgot about blogging... until that is, a rash of people started... yeah... I know... way to follow the crowd.

But anyhow, to bring you up to speed, I was working at Body Glove BJ since I last posted. Actually hated the job. Very tiring and the coworkers... gosh... any small mistake and they jump on you and hurry along to complain to the sup. 'Very mature' no?

Anyhow, all that's behind me now. I joined INTI... doing biotech. Not bad actually... but biotech and computing suck. Oh yeah... forgot Math. At least Bio and Chem are okay... but seeing as we've covered most of the topics before.... lucky we didn't get all new subjects... that would've been horror.

Made all new friends... and some old ones that I didn't really get to know (not in my class of course). Perhaps it's human nature but after only a month, there were two factions in the class and none of them wanted to talk to each other. Moi was not involved (they said my radar lacked a high enough frequency to detect the salvos of war). So there I was, stuck in the middle while my class (I'm the class rep btw) disintegrated around me. Luckily things have taken a turn for the better and the warring factions have slowly begun to calm down. Still have no idea what the whole fuss was about though (they wouldn't tell me). Still, glad this is over, but now, the next period of difficulty. Schoolwork.
Last week's been hectic. Three assignments due on Friday and two lab reports interspaced in between. Considering that all of them have to be typed and formatted and 'prettified', that's a lot of work. As always, I persevere. Not really looking forward to next week. Exams, exams, exams. Bio and Chem with a Chem quiz (mini test) before. Sheesh. These people are trying to work us to the bone.

On the bright side. I have a field trip coming up. Next weekend in fact ( so... not all is bad). Looking forward to it. I think one faction will abscond though. I don't know what to do with them. Can't mediate because I don't know anything. Oh well... maybe they'll settle it by themselves and forget about it.

Oh yeah. One thing I forgot to mention. I kinda grew up. From not having a decent social life to partying on the weekends. Friends are now into clubbing and so I got dragged out... kinda fun but not really my thing. After the third time out, I got really bored (maybe the booze wasn't strong enough, hehe). Don't know if I'll go again, although if I go it'll probably be very low key. Once in a blue moon... that sorta thing.

Another plus side of going to college, I got my own PC!! Woohoo!. I wheedled my dad into buying me a new laptop. Next target: a camera. Yeah, I know... aiming too high... but still... one has gotta have dreams. Maybe with a laptop, I'll blog more often considering that the college has free wireless.

I guess that's it... The history of Yong Ming, over the past few months, all condensed into a few paragraphs. Left some things out though. Maybe next time I'll add another tale to the chronicle.
