Patience

They say patience is a virtue... and I agree...

There are times though when you find that people just test your patience. I wonder why I'm dedicating a blog post to a person that's constantly trying to demean and degrade me....

Hehe....

I got this far as I was chatting and then... well... we kinda made up... was feeling really annoyed then... I know... I know... all those lectures I've given about not letting other people affect me... but that can't happen when it's one of your 'inner circle'. Anyhow... got really mad at him... but then... I was surprised... he cooled down and apologised... wow... if you're reading this (and you know who you are... I don't like to name people too much on this blog)... I'm proud of you for swallowing your pride and apologising. Thank you.

You think you know someone through and through and they can't surprise you... and then... they pull an 'about face' suddenly... I had thought that he was a person who wouldn't back down... but he did. Was a nice surprise... a very good one.

Had My Fun... Now Time To Pay

Hehe...

I guess you're wondering what that means...

Basically... I went out clubbing last night... stayed out until 4 a.m. (I know they close at 3... but we went to McDs after). So... anyhow... because of my late night out... got only four hours of sleep... So sleepy...

Still... I managed to get through a full day. Went out for the Ed Board luncheon... went around Prangin shopping... looking at computer stuff and so on...

In the evening... wanted to get new specs... went and chose a frame and everything... only problem... the 'not enough sleep thing' came back to haunt me. They couldn't test my eyesight 'power' because my eyes weren't rested enough... so now, I have to go back there again on Tuesday or Wednesday... Bummer...

Hehe... other than that, it's been a very very good day... Caught up with my friends today... what's going on and so on... have to keep those bridges of communication open.

Celebrate!!

Break out the party hats people and let's celebrate...

Hehe

Would've been... except no-one seems inclined to celebrate with me.

What's that you ask? The reason for my sudden spirit of cheerfulness?

Well... let's see... I got 'better than self-expectation' for my subjects this semester. Hehe... not a very good reason I know... but it's an occasion that comes rarely in my life... and it hasn't happened in a good long time... So... when it does happen... Party People!!!

Hehe

Okay... in all seriousness... here's the breakdown of what I got... Bio A, Biotech and Computing A-,Chem B+ and Math B-...

All above my minimum average of B-...
Looking good people... looking good...
Not good enough if I want a scholarship... but good enough for me I think...

Best results I've seen from me in a long long long time

Soo... cause for celebration

Jailbreak

Today I got the chance to stretch my legs. Followed my brother to Gurney... he left with his classmates.I went to watch 'Click'.
Ran into the librarian possey... Darren, Kah Sing, Lettecia, Genie, Guo Qiang, Boon Hoe and Jin Wei. Turns out, they were also gonna watch 'Click'and at the same time too. Coincidence?
Anyhow, so... I got absorbed into the group. Hehe
Absorbed is not very appropriate... since I was in my usual standoffish-with-people-I-am-not-so-very-close-to mode. Hehe
Anyhow... at least I got to go out and not waste away at home.

Hmm... two anyhows in my last paragraph... not too good English methinks...

Tomorrow... (well today actually but I will collect it tomorrow) exam results come out... SO SO nervous. Will update tomorrow... when I know my fate.

Sheer Utter Boredom

I hate the holidays.

It seems like it's the school's saddistic way of making you go crazy. First, they put you through the pressure that is exam week... then... after that... they give you a few weeks off that's ostensibly,... to let you relax and enjoy yourselves. In actual fact, the weeks off are for you to drive yourselves crazy... staring at the four white blank walls surrounding you...

I managed to stave off the advances of the enemy last week. This week however, my barriers are begining to crumble. Having exhausted all possible entertainment avenues that I could have last week (movies, karaoke, food, loitering, shopping, clubbing... you name it), I now find myself with the horrible prospect of sitting in my room, playing my computer games and letting my mind (and my eyes) rot.

And to think... it's only the beginning of the second week.... Arrgghhhh

T-minus Thirteen days and counting.

I must go... time for more wall staring

Knocked About

Humph...

Today, went to church... one of the few times they made me sit up on the stage... well... anyhow...
listening to the guest pastor talking... and then... suddenly... he grabbed me by the arm and pulled me to the centre of the stage...

Talk about surprised. Hehe

Then he starts using me as a crash test dummy...
Chokehold, trips and so on...
Didn't really hurt.... but the whole church was laughing...

Oh well... not that big a deal I guess...
Didn't get hurt anyway...

When I got home after visiting grandfather and going shopping at Tesco, I was soo exhausted that I actually took a 2 hour nap... something that I generally don't want to do because it interferes with my sleeping patterns...

Last Minute

D'you know how I spent my last two days?

I spent them going back to St. Xavier's with the express intention to finish off the school magazine. Man... those people are really behind time. The deadline being on Monday, they were still not finshed with the layout when I got there on Thursday. So... I helped out of course. What else could I do.

When I left on Friday afternoon, we had gotten most of the work done. Only one section remaining. Not too bad an accomplishment, I think.

Battery...

Put my self in a panic just now. Read in The Star that Dell was recalling 4.1 million laptop batteries because of potential fire hazard. What does one do in a situtation like this?? I went straight to my room and pulled out the battery. Hehe.
Then I went online to check it out. Turns out, my battery was not affected. Man... wasted adrenaline....
Anyway, to recap the day, I went to INTI to carry out the column chromatography experiment. After that, walked home and pretty much wasted the whole day playing the Longest Journey 2. Hehe.
Maybe I'll stop by SXI tomorrow...

Social Butterfly

The past weekend has been a very busy one.
Friday night, went out at night twice, Saturday morning, Saturday night, Sunday night (again twice) and then Monday morning.
Good times... although the most fun was to be had today (or should it be yesterday??).

Anyhow, today.... or yesterday... hehe... I went out for a movie... went for 'a' movie... but ended up watching two...

The original plan was to watch 'The Lake House'... but then, ended up watching 'The Break Up' as well. The shows weren't too bad. I enjoyed them... but the Break Up was rather unsatisfying... the end of the show... well... leaves something to be desired.
Now... the Lake House was nice... I especially liked the part where the guy died... but didn't die...
Excellent show.

Shopping was also on the itinery... but for me ... it turned out to be window shopping only... hehe
There was this shirt at U2 I wanted to get... but postponed it... anyhow... there's always next time right... and who knows... next time... something better would probably catch my eye.

After watching movies... we went out for dinner at Kevin Yaw's... I never ate there before... although I heard many of my friends talking about it... I didn't even know where it was...
Had the lamb cutlets. Not bad... and it came in a large portion so I was quite full.

After dinner, walked around Gurney until my dad picked me up. Wanted to have dessert... but... Oh well... Hehe

Now... if every day was like this... wouldn't it be a blast?!?
Hehe... I can but hope...

Exhausted

Wow... it's been a long day... slept for 6 hours last night so was groggy when I woke. Went clubbing with Paik Weng and his Ipoh friend, Chun Heng last night... Had quite a bit of fun actually... started dancing after a while there... enjoyed myself quite a bit.

Anyway... woke up today and then went out with Paik Weng, Chun Heng and Ee Ling. Dropped Ee Ling at Prangin and then went for Dim Sum.
Dim Sum was filling... ate until Chun Heng said he was still very full 4 hours later. :-)

After that... went to hang out at Prangin... Endless journey of walking up and down and up and down and up and down. Not quite endless... but it seemed like it. Got home at about 5.30 and spent the rest of the night reading e-books... What a life. Hehe.

Anyway, gonna be quite busy next few days I think. Monday they have plans to go to Red Box and Tuesday... gonna go watch Lake House. Should be a blast!

Euphoria

I guess everyone has gone through the feeling of ecstacy that comes upon one just after completing the last exam of the semester and knowing that there are three weeks of utter boredom coming up... what fun.

It's like nothing else... the rush you get in the final minutes before your paper is handed in and the examiners release you. The mad stampede out the door... the girns and the smiles and the cheers as you finally realise... this is it... it's over... the week from hell is done with and now comes the weeks of sweet, blissful boredom.

I wonder what I shall do first, nothing, something... anything? Hehe... who knows... I may not even stir from my bedroom...

Well... anyhow... I'm back... More posts forthcoming.

Heritage Walk

Last night, my Alma Mater held a grand gathering of sorts... Current pupils and alumni came over to help the school raise funds for improvement of the school building. It was quite fun albeit crowded... you couldn't see past the end of your nose in some places :-). Hehe.

I, of course, enjoyed myself tremendously... running around, playing with the Ed. Board cameras and taking pictures... Met some of my old friends... It's been about 10 months... how time flies eh?

Caught up on the latest news and gossip. I wonder when I'll get another chance like that... too much time has gone by... kinda regret certain things... but the past is the past. Oh well...

The End Is Near!! Run For Your Lives!!

Hehe... maybe I'm being to overly dramatic... but with finals just around the corner (next week, in fact) and that I haven't even touched my books yet... well... cause to panic...
This will be my last post for about a week I think. Don't think I'll have time for this once the shockwave hits. If I don't come out of this.... well... hehe

Anyhow... the end may be near... but I've still got time for a final bash before my head goes under. Tonight, we have a "Heritage Walkathon" organised by St. Xavier's Institution. We're supposed to go there and spend and spend so that Betty can have a roof over her head... fat chance... hehe

No... not really.... not that evil right? Actually it's for repairs to the school... which is a welcome thing I suppose... but couldn't they have done it while I was still in school? Man... talk about bad timing...

WooHoo!!!

Wow... the rush.... 100% for Biotech Test 2.... man....

Hehe.... a bit too enthusiastic?

That was very exhilirating... I think this is the first time I got full marks for any subjective paper... Of course there were mistakes... but there were 1 or 2 extra marks.... so... Woohoo!!! hehe... it was actually over 30 marks... but still that's full marks... and that raises my overall grade to 45.3/50.0... that's really..... well

Gonna go jump up and down with glee
